Organic Perfume Workshop by Baiser Beauty

I was working in one of my Natural Weddings Proposal when I received the official invite for a beautiful Organic Perfume Workshop by Baiser Beauty. It was the cutest email written ever by Mary, a super nice Miami Entrepreneur and Art Director. She is one of the Baiser Beauty partners, together with Erika and Claudia. A beautiful team of entrepreneurial women in Miami Beach. Today, I am bringing to you this beautiful sensorial and aromatic experience where I had a blast with a few Miami Bloggers such as @swimtothemoon , @luapretto, @bertalincolnrd. We learnt to create natural perfumes from scratch, based on different aromas and essences. Read more in the post below to know how to design your own fragance.

The table was perfectly arranged with all the materials and instructions needed to be able to start designing our own pure essence. Each kit was the cutest thing ever, as you can see in the picture, Baiser Beauty Team designed a lovely table brochure with all the specifications and step-by-step instructions; the process, the ingredients and important facts to take into consideration. We could also take some notes during the workshop in the right column. We also had a little bag with a small vial of perfume and our own dropper.

The process to create a perfume is composed by notes. Notes are the building blocks of any captivating blend. These are grouped into 3 different categories; base, middle and top notes. To understand how notes function in a perfume blend think of them in terms of which scent do you smell first.

Those are the top notes. Let a bit of time pass and a secondary scent appears. These are the middle notes. And finally, after the middle notes seem to settle, a final scent emerges. These are the base notes. The basic science behind it is the size of molecules and the rate at which they evaporate. Beauty Baiser likes to think of this as the connection to our sensuality.

Organic Perfume Workshop by Baiser Beauty. To start building a blend always begin with your base notes. Think of these are your "fixatives", the notes that will grab hold of the middle and top notes, enhancing the whole bouquet while giving it its depth. The bases that we used were; Vanilla, Jasmine and Lilac. Before determining which middle notes will you choose, the important role of the middle notes is as the heart of the perfume. It also helps to soften some of the stronger side of some base notes. The middle notes that we used were; Violet, Lavender and Rose. Top notes are what will form the initial impression of a perfume, so keeping this in mind, ask yourself what are your preferences. Do you prefer a floral scent or a citrus scent? Citrus oils are often used as top notes but there are also some delicious exotic floral scents. The Top notes we used were; Gardenia, Orange and Plumeria.
