When she was 16 years old, Natalia from PAPEL N Co, left her house, family and country. She was looking for that perfect world she never knew existed. Or better yet, that she never knew she could create. Her work, is the perfect example of a tangible dream. It is the creative business she always wanted to have. It is the perfect space to meet other amazing people building the lives they’ve always wanted to have. How did you become a Calligrapher?
I had a design studio with a couple friends, and I was doing most of the branding and logo designs. I felt the need to make the branding for our clients even more special so I took a calligraphy class online and I just obsessed over it until I felt comfortable enough to incorporate it in my services.
What does a Calligrapher & Designer need to have?
I think you have to be a good listener. If you understand your clients point of view and design aesthetic, everything else comes naturally. Also, you have to take in your client’s feedback the best way possible. If you believe your client is being picky or annoying with so many changes, then you are not ready to offer the design service. Remember, your energy will translate in your work. So, being positive throughout the process is KEY to me.
What does it mean being a Female Entrepreneur = #Girlboss?
To be honest, I’ve never felt in disadvantage or advantage being a “female” entrepreneur. However, I do receive messages or e-mails once in a while of girls that love to see a woman doing what she loves. So, I guess I do love the fact that somehow what I do inspires others.
A moment that changed your life!
Marrying my husband. He brought to my life everything I needed, having his support in every single aspect of my life allows me to go after my dreams and be happy every single day.
