Yoga at Miami Botanical Garden

Haayen came up with Summer Soulstice as a way to grow the Magic City’s yoga community. “The farther you go outside of Miami, the better yoga gets,” she says. The idea, then, is to do something about that. “In New York they shut down Times Square during the summer solstice and have thousands of people doing yoga. It’s one of the city’s biggest yoga events. Their goal is to create the same massive event and instill that sense of community here.” And what better way than by doing so in a surreal and natural wondrous environment like Botanical Garden?

Last year was the first time they did it and they hosted it at the 1111 building parking garage, which was awesome and we had 800 on the rooftop, but it’s concrete. Summer solstice is all about nature and connecting with the summer again, and they wanted a location that inspired that. It’s lush heaven. And lush heaven has no limit as to how many it allows through its gates.

Last year’s summer solstice event at Times Square saw 11,000 yogis getting their asana on, and although Miami might not be anywhere near that, Haayen is doing all she can to make sure we are well on our way by putting together events like this and hosting her weekly OMWave Radio show, streaming live every Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. on Klangbox.fm, with friend and fellow yogi Amy Dannheim (You can take her hip hop flow class at Green Monkey on Fridays.)

Back to Summer Soulstice: not only is the one-hour yoga event absolutely free of charge and open to all-levels of yogis whether advanced or aspiring, Nacho Londono will follow it up with a guitar performance so you get yoga and a concert in one. And since Athleta sponsors it, you bet your downward dog there will be goodies for the first 200 attendees (free yoga mats and the chance to win a $200 gift card), as well as a ton of health-conscious and wellness vendors who’ll be dishing out surprises and free samples throughout the day.

First dog of the day starts at 9:30 a.m., but if you want in on the free mats or the Athleta gift card, early-bird yogi gets the worm.

Personal Trainer Website Proposal

Mónica wanted a very clean and professional branding and website design. Very visual and easy to manage content. Regarding to her brand we worked a very simple logo, Monica’s Fitness. We use two different colors she was comfortable with and came with a combination of the M & F to create the logo. For the website, we designed a very simple template with a great content management tool that is going to allow her to upload content very easily and fast. I think her next move is to hire a web host like those at hostiserver so she is able to concentrate on creating the videos and correct content for her website. The platform provides a blog section where she will be posting all her fitness series such as “Lifting like a girl“. Watch the video where I appear myself working out with her in these series!! We are having fun with our client, this is how we build our relations with them, going beyond the professional world!

I have to say, this is a very special fitness project for us, as we have a great relation with Mónica! In addition, we are trying to help the Miami Fitness Community providing with cool and new fitness content and videos for every person keen on get fit and have a healthier life!

Miami Creative Studio

Miami Creative Studio · A unique touch & style

The Creative’s Loft is a Miami Creative Studio founded in Europe in 2012 by myself, Adriana Castro CEO of The Creative’s Loft. While I was leveraging my professional career in the Advertising & Marketing World in Spain, I began doing some personal projects for people that I knew in my city as well as a couple of friends. At this moment, my story as an entrepreneur began!

From a personal project to a Miami Creative Studio

After working 4 years non-stop in Spain in big Advertising groups such as Ogilvy One Worldwide, I decided to give a twist to my life and moved to the states, specifically to the Sunshine State, FL. Miami, really surprised me 4 years ago, back in 2011. I did not expect a city with so much live, great people and social experiences. During 3 years, I was based in Miami Beach as my office was there. I was an International Marketing Executive working for and Advertising Agency, running international campaigns for large-scale clients.

However, there was a moment that I told to myself that it was time to move and switch to another kind of world, more related to startups and the Miami Tech Scene. So, is when I started working for Rokk3r Labs, an startup incubator in Miami Beach. I was in charge of managing all the events (workshops, ExO Event, Rokk3r Labs Anniversary, Tech Breakfast, etc) for the company as well as running the Marketing strategies and actions. My experience and adventure was great, I met nice people and I learn how to be a real entrepreneur. So that was the moment that I realized it was time to run my own business, my dream: The Creative’s Loft, a Miami Creative Studio focused on Event Planning and Creative Direction.

Nowadays, I am running this studio on my own and counting with great vendors who help me shaping and giving an special touch to my events, parties and branding. I love what I do, and I consider that is one of the most important and essential things when you run your business. A great personal and professional experience full of good and not so good moments, that make you learn and stand up again to be a better person and professional.
