Creative Bride Guide – How to plan your wedding

Next year I am getting married and I have decided that I am going to dedicate this lovely section “Creative Bride Guide” in my blog to help you plan a charming and unique wedding!

We got engaged during the summer, so once we were back from our unforgettable vacay in Spain I started planning my wedding with ColorPop. I went to https://tradewindshotel.com.au/weddings/ to find some venues for our wedding. Something that I have very clear is that I want to plan a unique and unforgettable wedding for my beloved ones. I like being genuine, incredibly original and passionate about what I do as this is part of my professional career… I am lucky to have some of my friends sharing their expertise and thoughts with me even if they are in another city or country! What’s so great about the connected world we live in today is that even my dream jewellery is just a few clicks away… I do believe that choosing your diamond is one of the most important decisions you’ll make – especially as you’ll want to wear that one special ring for the rest of your life! Above all, I want to have the best people on board for the most important day of my life. So, if you’re getting married or know anyone who is, I would like to share with you these following 5 tips to create your dream wedding!

Every day I am dreaming of all those little things along with the design and planning of my wedding day. Flowers, gifts and favors, guest book ideas, candy station, table set ups, San Antonio photo booth, etc. As a wedding planner and designer in Miami running my own company, I have decided that creating this wonderful “Creative Bride Guide” is going to help not only me but also all those beautiful brides getting married. I feel fortunate to have met the man of my life, and that is what it makes me be a extremely “happy bride”. I get goosebumps when I imagine myself as a bride getting down the aisle the day of my wedding. When I imagine the moment that I will be dancing with my dad or when I will be giving those flower bouquets to the most important women in my life. I love the excitement, the beauty and the uniqueness of a wedding day! Flower arrangements from a florist in League City will add atmosphere and festivity to the event.

Today, I thought I should share some great tips for planning a personalized and charming wedding. Whether your celebration will be intimate or large, simple or grand, under the stars or in a chandelier-studded ballroom or tropical beach in paradise, I hope these notes help you prepare for your beautiful day.

5 main recommendations to plan a unique wedding

1. Start with budget you can allow. Begin your wedding planning process by creating an exhaustive budget where you will include the essential components your wedding needs to have. Before you start analyzing and reaching out to all your vendors, that’s the best thing you can do. You also may need to analyzed this budget with your fiance and your parents if possible! Define what should be included in this budget (venue, rings, attire, favors and gifts, etc) and what isn’t, and always allow yourself a cushion of around 10%. If you would like to work and plan your wedding with a wedding planner, they should be able to assist you in building your budget including every single item you need to take into consideration. They may also be able to give you more realistic estimates for each allocated category (based on the local market, for example), instead of using arbitrary percentages recommended by magazines and books (which may be outdated and not representative of your area). Your wedding budget is the most important decision you will have to make during the first few months.

2. Determine your wedding overall design. With your ideal and affordable budget in mind, you can start thinking of the look&feel, scope and size of your wedding day if you want. Draft a guest-list with your fiancé…this is SUPER IMPORTANT! (parents should also be consulted) and get a sense of how many people you would like to have with you that day (believe me…once you finish this list you will realize you have too many friends in this life…). If there is a specific location or venue you have in mind, start doing the initial research to get a picture of what your ideal wedding will cost in that venue or other similar locations. 3. Define and select the people you feel happy with. During the process of planning your wedding, you will find great vendor referrals in different blogs, or through the venue you finally chose, or maybe via word-of-mouth from recently married friends. I highly recommend doing your own research, meet with a few of them if you can and take your final decision based on the “feeling” you have had with them. It’s all about “good vibe” and feeling. You should love their work and feel that instant “click” with them. I strongly feel that the clients who have the best and most unique weddings are those who trust their vendors to do their job and can allow them some level of creative freedom. That’s how we work at The Creative’s Loft with our clients too and I can state that is the ideal way for any event you are planning, specially if it’s your wedding day.

4. Make the wedding yours. Nowadays we have a lot of Social Media Channels and amazing wedding blogs all over the network. Sometimes we try to design the beauty we see in those platforms when we start planning our wedding. However, I also like considering my cultural background, my unique and creative personality, my family traditions, first date story and even local features to add that “uniqueness style” to my wedding. I love getting inspiring with my “inspirational boards” on Pinterest but I also like thinking out of the box and making my own and unforgettable wedding celebration. If you manage to think this way, this will help you to come up with a very unique wedding, a celebration that you have never seen before online. And thinking of this…I guess every single bride wants to achieve that, right?

5. Do not worry about the little things. At the end of it all, remember that a wedding is about the union of two wonderful people for the rest of their lives. Focus on one another and the purpose of your day. That perspective will make your planning process the joyful time it should be. Small details make the difference but never forget why are you there and what are you celebrating this day. Do not spend thousands of dollars in small stuff and focused on spending your budget in the essential aspects of the best day of your life; specially in those aspects that your guests and yourselves will never forget.
