The Creative’s Loft had the pleasure to meet Megan Mejía, Owner of Lighthouse Bridal Boutique & Letterpress. A magnifique Entrepreneur & Business Woman who had her own vision and is has a complete knowledge of the Bridal World. We met Megan via Lia Terni (Jewel Designer interviewed some weeks ago and featured in our wedding blog) & Yerbamala Designs (Macrame Art & Plant styling Studio).
Megan’s personality and way of running her business is very similar to our vibe and we both know we love the same type of brides! Every Bridal Gown she brings to her unique bridal boutique in Fort Lauderdale is well thought and all have a very boho chic style. Her gowns are delicate and focused on natural brides. Every designer complements the store excellent, offering our brides a unique experience as well as finding the dress of their dreams. Lighthouse Bridal Boutique was inspired by the creative and the outside of the box kind of couple. Megan and her busband are simply put; a no frills, easy going bridal boutique that carries a carefully curated selection of designer wedding gowns and accessories. They love princesses in movies but not in the real world. They believe you should do you and you only on your wedding day.
They’re a husband and wife duo that love the craft and the art of beautiful things. The craft of hanging a gown that was made in the garment district of New York City and the art of ink being sandwiched together between a letterpress plate and pillowy paper that will invite your family and friends to the most memorable day of your life.

How did you come up with the idea of running this cute and unique Bridal Boutique?
Lighthouse Bridal & Letterpress Design is solely a product of my sweet husband, Sebastian and I putting our two passions and minds together to create a space for brides and couples to find their perfect gown and customize their wedding paper needs. When it came time to purchase my wedding gown, I wasn’t able to find any boutiques in the South Florida area that offered alternative designers so, I went to another state to find and purchase my dress! There lies the reason we opened Lighthouse Bridal, a place where brides can find that perfect alternative, effortless bridal gown.

What does a Bridal Boutique need to have?
Gorgeous wedding gowns, a cozy and comfortable environment, good vibes, laid back tunes and Rosé. always Rosé.
What does it mean being a Female Entrepreneur = #Girlboss?
For me, it means being liberated and controlling my own destiny in ever way possible. A #GIRLBOSS is someone who is fierce, supportive of other women and fearless.
Bridal Designer you like the most at the boutique
This is a hard question for me, I love all eight designers that we carry at Lighthouse Bridal. They each bring a different and unique component to our boutique. I have a slight emotional connection to Sarah Janks because she was my wedding dress designer.
Your best advice for our brides
Be YOU and only YOU on your wedding day. Pinterest, bridal blogs and bridal magazines can be helpful and guide you aesthetically in a positive direction but there is nothing better than being your very best version of yourself on your wedding day. If that means wearing no shoes or undergarments on your big day, go for it!

Right now I am loving the Ancient Spanish Monastery for a romantic old school feel. I also love The Bonnet House in Fort Lauderdale for more of a garden feel.
Closet outfit you could not live without…
Three words: off the shoulder. I am having a serious off the shoulder moment in my wardrobe and with this South Florida heat, an off the shoulder dress can easily take you from day to night.
A moment that changed your life
The clearest and most significant moment in my life thus far, was the moment my brother read 1 Corinthians 13 aloud during our wedding ceremony. There has never been a verse that resonated so close to my heart than that specific one. “Love Never Fails” is the driving force in my life and somewhat of my life mantra.
