DIY Floral Workshop – Christine Michelle Photography
After the beautiful Sunday that we spent surrounded by our fabulous ladies during our DIY Floral Workshop at Wynwood Block, we have realized the amazing work that some bloggers have done! We are super happy with the result and the beautiful pictures that the majority of them took while they were having fun and designing their floral crowns!
This is the case of Christine Michelle Photography (have a look to her amazing work). We had the pleasure to invite Christine, a beautiful girl with an amazing eye…she captured 100% the essence of our DIY Floral Workshop with her camera and shared the love in her blog! We can’t thank her the beautiful job that she made and all the pictures she has shared with us! We are proud to present you her unique work and the memories we gathered that Sunday.
The Making Of
We started organizing the event 4hours before at our location. The people from Wynwood Block were very nice and they facilitated us everything so that we could make sure our work was going to be done in advance. Thanks to the curtesy of Mister Block Café and Jucy Lu, The Creative’s Loft was able to organize a unique and unforgettable event for local people, bloggers, family and friends.
Mister Block Café, helped us arranging all the furnitures and food we were offering to our attendees. They allowed us to use their amazing table in the aisle, so that we could locate all our flowers and supplies for the DIY Floral Workshop and offer a wonderful working place for all our guests. Thanks to their help we were able to organize and ran a beautiful workshop.
The Set Up, three different spots
During these hours, we arranged 3 different areas for the DIY Floral Workshop: The Sweet Station, The Beauty Spot and The Workshop Area. In order to offer a unique experience, we also partnered with GlamSquad, where two beautiful ladies provided with make up and hair style services. Our ladies loved this idea and they were making the line to look beautiful! Glamsquad made a great job designing beautiful braids and make up. Have a look!
The Floral Workshop
At 4.30pm, guests started to show up at Wynwood Block. Everything was set for them and we could wait to start working in the floral crowns. We divided our guests in two different groups as we were 55 people. The first 25 ladies, started working in their designs. First of all, Adriana and Francisco explained the steps they needed to follow in order to design and create their Floral Crowns. One of the most important things in this kind of workshops is the selection of the flowers for your Floral Crown.
They followed their instructions selecting the foliage, the decorative little flowers and the main flowers. After they cut all the flowers they needed, we started working with the green wire placing the flowers one by one, using floral tape (your best friend whenever you are designing your floral crown). Our ladies…made a wonderful and excellent job…meanwhile, they learnt different techniques, as the boutonniere, to be able to work with big flowers.
While some of the first ladies finished their crowns, the second group joined the table. Some of the Floral Crowns designed by the first group, served as an inspiration for the second group. Have a look to the unique designs!!! They made a great job and they looked amazing!
We can’t finish this post without sending a huge THANK YOU to this amazing woman and photography professional Christine Michelle for the great job she made! We loved having you in our DIY Floral Workshop in Miami, and we can’t wait to keep working with you in future projects!
